Missing number 4 in the Lo Shu grid
65.2% of birth dates have no 4
Where 4 sits on the grid
Top left, on the mental row, the thought column and the 4-5-6 diagonal. Read as order and practical method.
What a missing 4 is read as
Order, routine and practical follow-through may need effort. Teachers read a missing number as a quality to develop consciously, not as a lack; readings differ between them.
Working with it
Practical habit: use checklists and fixed routines for the jobs you tend to skip.
When 4 repeats instead
If 4 appears several times, readers describe great method that can tip into rigidity.
How common it is
Of all dates from 1940 to 2019, 65.2% have no 4 anywhere in the date; it is one of the most often missing numbers.
Examples:
- 10 January 1975: digits 1 1 1 9 7 5, no 4.
- 11 January 1975: digits 1 1 1 1 9 7 5, no 4.
- 12 January 1975: digits 1 2 1 1 9 7 5, no 4.
Lines that include 4
A missing 4 leaves these lines incomplete: Mental plane, Thought plane, Golden Yog (4-5-6).
Can it be filled?
Some Indian practitioners add the Mulank and Bhagyank to the grid; if either is 4, the cell is filled. Others do not, and the tool lets you choose. Changing a name does not change the grid, which comes only from the date.
