Small changes that keep the sound of your name: a doubled vowel, an added or dropped H, EE for I, OO for U. At most two changes.

    Pythagorean or Chaldean?

Two letter-to-number systems. Your date numbers come from the same digits in both; your name numbers can differ.

Pythagorean assigns the letters A to Z the values 1 to 9 in order, starting again after every ninth letter. It is the system most Western numerology uses, and it keeps 11, 22 and 33 as master numbers.

Chaldean, as Cheiro published it, uses a different table that doesn't follow alphabet order, and no letter is worth 9. It keeps the full compound total, such as 23, alongside the single digit, and it is the system this site uses for name numbers checked against the Mulank and Bhagyank.

Neither is “correct”. This site shows both so you can compare them on your own name.

    Questions people ask

Which system should I use, Pythagorean or Chaldean?
Neither is more correct; they are different traditions. Pythagorean (Western) numbers letters 1 to 9 in order and keeps master numbers. Chaldean, as Cheiro published it, uses a different table in which no letter is worth 9. This calculator shows both so you can compare.
What is the difference between Mulank and Life Path?
Mulank is the day you were born reduced to one digit. Life Path uses the whole date. In Indian numerology the whole-date number is called Bhagyank and is always reduced to a single digit.
Should I use my name at birth or the name I use now?
Traditionally the name at birth describes your underlying character and the name you use now describes how you come across today. Try both; the compare table shows them side by side.
Why is Y always a consonant here?
Some teachers count Y as a vowel when it sounds like one. That makes results depend on pronunciation, so this site always treats Y as a consonant and says so.
Can I change my luck by changing my spelling?
Numerology says a spelling carries a number; it does not promise outcomes. If you try a new spelling, choose one you'd genuinely be happy to use every day.
