The 2 challenge is about sensitivity. Small remarks can land heavily, and the instinct is to smooth things over rather than say what bothers you. That keeps the peace in the short term but builds resentment. Learning to state needs plainly, and to treat criticism as information rather than judgement, turns the same sensitivity into a strength in teamwork and care.
How a challenge 2 arises
Challenges subtract parts of the birth date, each reduced to a single digit (masters too): month and day, day and year, the first two challenges, then month and year. A difference of 2 comes from pairs such as 3 and 1, 4 and 2, 5 and 3, 6 and 4, 7 and 5, 8 and 6.
How common it is
Of all dates from 1940 to 2019, 16.4% have 2 as the first challenge, and 19.8% as the third, main challenge, which Decoz says lasts throughout life.
